January of 2010, TRIBU began to take a more active hand in how we as a company affect the environment. Starting with changes made to the way we bag our products; from using recycled garbage bags and cardboard as containers for our products to switching over to using a cloth based netting for sale of our slippers, TRIBU is making it a point to create awareness of the environment with our loyal customer base.
The planet is in danger. Weve seen the facts, the documentaries, read the articles and blogs. We know that the environment is going through some severe changes. Deforestation. Global Warming. We see it and feel everyday, and now TRIBU is taking steps to do something about it.
It's always been our pride and honor to be partners not only in what we do, but also with how we live, with the TRIBES that have inspired our brand. Our numerous projects and tie-ups through the years have blossomed an irreplacable sharing of hearts with our brothers and sisters. 15 years ago, two cousins decided to make outdoor sandals that both served their needs and their friends in the mountaineering community and to improve on the local and international brands that were out at that time. Definitely sprung from humble beginnings, TRIBU at the start was just cousins Jason and Renan Luengo, both designing and producing the slippers themselves, even traveling hours at a time to purchase and carry rubber from town to town on their backs through a number of jeepney rides.
Fast forward to 2010, TRIBU is now a dynamic corporation with over 200 outlets worldwide and that has given birth to 3 other brands namely MISS T, the ladies line that includes handbags, belts, shirts, shorts aside from made-for-women-only sandals. TWEEBU, for all our little adventurers, and the urban fashion/board sports-centric KURV. Its going to be an exciting year as TRIBU renews all its FOCUS on staying committed to giving you the best products from the BEST outdoor apparel brand this country has ever known.
